Voluntary Action North Lanarkshire offers a range of social enterprise support and services including advice on start up, governance, charity law, volunteering and income generation. We also provide information and support for human resources, IT, quality systems, networking and partnership working. Throughout the year we offer an organisational development training programme with a variety of courses delivered throughout North Lanarkshire.

SCDC is the lead body for community development in Scotland. We work directly with community organisations,
community development practitioners, government and other policy makers, and partnerships to help achieve an active, inclusive and just Scotland where communities are strong, equitable and sustainable.
Our support can help you to build
your organisation, increase your impact, plan and evaluate, engage with your wider community, work in partnership with others and strengthen your influence.
Our work includes programmes dedicated to community capacity building, community engagement, community-led health, participatory budgeting, co-production, community-led action research, place-based approaches and the Community Empowerment (Scotland) Act. A fund to help social enterprises that have been trading for up to three years to strengthen their business so they can successfully sustain trading. 

The Chamber was founded in 2005 to support and promote the development of social enterprise in the Scottish Borders. We have a passion for supporting social entrepreneurs and work closely with the national social enterprise support organisations to achieve the best outcomes for our members. 

Up to £5,000 of start-up funding for individuals with a business idea that addresses a social, environmental, and/or community issue. 

Social Investment Scotland offer social loan finance, providing flexible funding and growth support.

Social Enterprise Scotland unites social enterprises and their supporters into a strong campaigning force.

UnLtd Scotland finds, funds and supports social entrepreneurs – enterprising people with solutions that change our society for the better. They administer the Growth Impact Fund, a partnership between themselves, Big Issue Invest and Shift, an investment programme designed by and for founders from underrepresented backgrounds. SSES provides ongoing training and support to individuals trying to create and sustain social businesses.

Just Enterprise provides funded start-up, business support, learning and leadership services to social enterprises throughout Scotland.

Impact Hub Inverness helps develop social enterprises in the Highlands and Islands and beyond, and operates a co-working space.

Business Gateway provides free business support and impartial advice to start-up and existing businesses in Scotland.

Firstport is Scotland’s agency for start-up social entrepreneurs and social enterprise. The organisation is a registered charity that supports individuals all across Scotland to start, develop and grow their ideas into businesses with social impact at their core. 

Co-operative Development Scotland is the arm of Scottish Enterprise that supports collaborative and employee ownership business models.
